Thank you for choosing Vaca Key and the City of Marathon, Florida. Centrally located at Mile Marker 50 (Key West zero) and easily accessible by car. Whether you are driving direct, or flying then driving; you should take the Florida Turnpike which turns into the 17 mile stretch landing you on the island of Key Largo and from there a ONE WAY road straight south while staring at MILES OF OCEAN singing the late GREAT jimmy buffett song until you reach Mile Marker 50 home to Sombrero Beach and ... Latitude 24 a retreat from things, like a ping pong table, a handcrafted corn hole field, an air conditioned cabana with an 85" tv, chefs kitchen, 120' of concrete dock, Jacuzzi, pool, and the very best covered outdoor living areas in the Florida Keys. The Estate offers: 6 Bedrooms and 7 1/2 bathrooms 3 separate living quarters providing room for multiple families, older and younger children, multiple couples, and smaller groups wanting a retreat from things... in more detail below my effort to demonstrate:
3rd Floor Guest Quarters: On the 3rd floor of the main house you will find the Master bedroom (king Bed) Bedroom 2 (two twin beds) and Bedroom 3 (king bed). Each of these rooms has a private bathroom and are located on the top floor of the main house. In addition to the 3 bedrooms, the Family Den is in the center of the 3rd floor. The den separates bedroom 2 and 3 from the master (creating the split plan) and provides a quite space to read a book, play a game, watch a movie or just sit and relax away from the commotion of the day. I especially love this location for the younger kids to watch movies and wind down for the evening.
2nd Floor Guest Quarters: The second floor is where you find the main kitchen, main living area, and large covered patio. The second floor also has the Casita, which is a 2-bedroom 1 bath small villa attached to the main living quarters via covered breezeway. The Casita (2 bedroom and 1 Bath connect to the main house by covered breezeway) has bedroom 4 (King Bed) and Bedroom 5 (two twin beds) and 1 full bathroom along with a full living room with pull out couch and fully stocked kitchenette. I especially love this space for growing families or young couples who enjoy having coffee in the morning or a night cap in a quite private space.
Ground Floor Quarters: The ground floor is where you find a variety of entertaining and living options. Family Suite: Bedroom 6 (king bed) is in the family suite along with 2 full bathrooms and a living room (with pull-out couch) plus dry kitchenette with coffee bar. This suite is private and has a separate entrance perfect for small families or a couple wanting more space to spread out. Overlooking the pool area, the suite is a fantastic place for early morning coffee and a stroll around the property.
Entertainment Areas:
3rd Floor - Family Den: This 3rd floor area is a perfect spot for a quit getaway, movie watching for youngsters, a card game, board game or simply a nice place to read a book. Whatever you find the area useful for, it is located away from the main gathering areas and has a pull-out couch, 2 large bean bags and a flat screen TV. Books, board games and cards can all be found in the Den.
2nd Floor - Main Kitchen, Main Living Area, Main Dining Room, Large covered patio:
Main Kitchen: 2nd Floor is the custom, luxurious kitchen complete with stainless-steel built-in GE Café appliances an Oversized 42" fridge, beautiful custom counter tops (Cambria Stone) and stainless-steel hood vent. The large center island boasting (Portrush Cambria Stone) sits 6 guests comfortably while the lovely dining set fits 8. There are additional chairs and a table for larger groups. A powder bathroom (1/2 bath) is nicely tucked away in a separate hallway for guests to use without concern or uneasy feelings.
Main Living Room: just beyond the dining area is the main living area complete with a shuffleboard game. The living area has 2 couches, 2 chairs and a 65" flat screen TV. Beyond the living room through the expansive sliding doors is the main covered patio.
Main covered Patio: 2nd floor just beyond the main living room you find some of the best views of the Gulf of Mexico in Marathon. This is the place to sit, talk and just enjoy what the Florida Keys has to offer. A full dining table with room for 8, a couch and 2 lounge chairs offer ample space to enjoy the beautiful weather. Overlooking the pool, the main patio area is the perfect spot to have a drink and talk about the adventures experienced and adventures waiting.
Ground Floor - AC Cabana, Large covered patio, Pool area, Yard Games, Fire pit
AC Cabana: overlooking the pool area and ground floor covered patio is the AC Cabana. Having a full wet bar, this entertainment area is where the party is. An 85" screen TV, sectional couch and 2 chairs make this the desired daytime destination. Have appetizers and make drinks in the commercial quality blender; Maybe watch your favorite football team or simple enjoy a few minutes out of the sun; whatever your choice or use this entertainment area is at the heart of Latitude 24.
Ground Floor Covered Patio: is where we envision a significant amount of time being spent. Starting with a 9' outdoor fan! a dining table for 8, sitting area for 8, a ping pong table and small bar area; spending the afternoon with ALL the guests around the pool is easy and comfortable with space for everyone.
Pool deck and yard Games: The pool deck was built with custom Blanco marble pavers and has an oversized 15' x 30' pool and 10' x 7' Jacuzzi. The yard was professionally designed and provides ample space to lay out on the 4 chaise lounges, play catch and includes a beach sand cornhole court, custom made tic-tac-toe bean bag toss, pool side Basketball hoop, and outdoor connect four. Located next to the pool is the firepit which has seating for 6 and is the very best spot for making smores.
With so many options everyone in your group should find something to keep them entertained and enjoy your group’s time in the Florida Keys.
Dock and Parking: Latitude 24 has up to 100' of useable mooring area. This private concrete dock has running water and power and room for most boats (please enquire about large vessel parking). The dock lighting will mesmerize you and your guests while gazing out into the ocean watching a beautiful Florida Keys sunset.
Parking is ample including room for boat trailers.
